1. Who we are (controller)
Arcadia:Design, Milano, Italy — VAT no. IT10587830158 — info@arcadiadesignstudio.net. This is also the contact for any privacy request. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer (not required for our activity).
2. The app: what stays on your Mac
Clip:Design works offline on your Mac. Downloading (yt-dlp), transcription (whisper.cpp), cutting and rendering (ffmpeg) all happen locally. Your videos, transcripts, captions, exports and settings are not sent to us. The app has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising and no tracking, and sets no cookies. Because we receive none of this data, we are not its controller; you are, as to what you process with the app. API keys you enter are stored in the macOS Keychain on your device only.

We do not use this data for marketing unless you separately opt in, and we never sell it.
5. Recipients and transfers
The sales platform (e.g. Gumroad, which is an independent controller for payment and tax data and may act as merchant of record), our email provider, and our accountant/tax advisers, only as needed. Some of these providers are based in the United States; transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses, as applicable. We do not sell or share personal data for advertising.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest (arts. 15–21), and withdraw any consent at any time. Write to info@arcadiadesignstudio.net; we answer within one month. You may complain to the Italian supervisory authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or to the authority of your country. There is no automated decision-making or profiling. Providing purchase data is necessary to get a license; without it we cannot issue one.
7. United States (CCPA/CPRA and other state laws)
We collect only the purchase/support data above, for the business purposes above. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents (and residents of other states with similar laws) may ask what we hold, request deletion or correction, and will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights: write to info@arcadiadesignstudio.net.
8. Children
The Software is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Security
We limit the data we collect, store keys in the macOS Keychain, restrict app permissions and verify bundled binaries. No system is perfectly secure; tell us promptly if you notice a problem.
10. Changes
We may update this notice; the date and version above show the latest. Material changes will be announced in the app or on the product page.

2. L’app: cosa resta sul tuo Mac
Clip:Design funziona offline sul tuo Mac. Download (yt-dlp), trascrizione (whisper.cpp), taglio e rendering (ffmpeg) avvengono in locale. I tuoi video, trascrizioni, didascalie, export e impostazioni non vengono inviati a noi. L’app non ha analytics, telemetria, segnalazione errori, pubblicità né tracciamento e non imposta cookie. Poiché non riceviamo questi dati, non ne siamo titolari: lo sei tu, per ciò che elabori con l’app. Le chiavi API che inserisci sono conservate solo nel Portachiavi di macOS del tuo dispositivo.

Le chiavi di licenza sono verificate offline (firma digitale); per questo non avviene alcuna chiamata di rete.

Non usiamo questi dati per marketing salvo tuo consenso separato, e non li vendiamo mai.
5. Destinatari e trasferimenti
La piattaforma di vendita (es. Gumroad, titolare autonomo per i dati di pagamento e fiscali, che può agire come merchant of record), il fornitore della nostra posta elettronica e il commercialista/consulenti fiscali, solo per quanto necessario. Alcuni di questi fornitori hanno sede negli Stati Uniti; i trasferimenti si basano sull’EU–US Data Privacy Framework o sulle Clausole contrattuali standard, a seconda dei casi. Non vendiamo né condividiamo dati personali per finalità pubblicitarie.
6. I tuoi diritti
Ai sensi del GDPR puoi chiedere accesso, rettifica, cancellazione, limitazione, portabilità, opporti al trattamento basato sul legittimo interesse (artt. 15–21) e revocare in ogni momento un eventuale consenso. Scrivi a info@arcadiadesignstudio.net; rispondiamo entro un mese. Puoi presentare reclamo al Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it) o all’autorità del tuo paese. Non c’è alcun processo decisionale automatizzato né profilazione. Fornire i dati di acquisto è necessario per ottenere una licenza; senza non possiamo emetterla.
7. Stati Uniti (CCPA/CPRA e altre leggi statali)
Raccogliamo solo i dati di acquisto/assistenza sopra indicati, per le finalità aziendali indicate. Non vendiamo né condividiamo informazioni personali e non le usiamo per pubblicità comportamentale cross-context. I residenti in California (e in altri stati con leggi analoghe) possono chiedere cosa conserviamo, chiederne la cancellazione o correzione, senza discriminazioni per l’esercizio di questi diritti: scrivi a info@arcadiadesignstudio.net.
8. Minori
Il Software non è rivolto a minori di 16 anni e non raccogliamo consapevolmente dati di minori.
9. Sicurezza
Limitiamo i dati raccolti, conserviamo le chiavi nel Portachiavi di macOS, restringiamo i permessi dell’app e verifichiamo i binari inclusi. Nessun sistema è perfettamente sicuro: segnalaci subito eventuali problemi.
10. Modifiche
Possiamo aggiornare questa informativa; data e versione indicano la più recente. Le modifiche sostanziali saranno comunicate nell’app o nella pagina del prodotto.
